All about us
Our founder came to know fruit vinegar, a valued product in Europe with an amazing flavor, during her doctorate at UFRJ. And she had the idea to make this sauce using native fruits from Brazil. After many tests and experiments, our sweet and sour sauce was born.
In the difficult year of 2020, we were selected by FAPERJ in the project "Doutor Empreendedor" and we accepted the challenge of creating Potybá.
The name"Potybá" comes from poty, meaning "flower" in Guarani and yba, meaning "fruit" in Tupy indigenous languages.
